Troubled Youth Suite

Professionals working with at-risk adolescents can find the display screens they need to begin using neuro- and biofeedback. It uses two EEG sensors for traditional neurofeedback and up to four sensors for Z-Score neurofeedback.

Based on work performed at the Nokomis Challenge Center in Michigan Corrections Institute in the United States, this suite includes software, reference articles, helpful training tips, and instructional materials on the different biofeedback training considerations when working with troubled youth. The authors underline the importance of striking a balance between a teen’s wants and training needs.

The biofeedback screens use a variety of music, animations and DVDs that appeal to young minds and can also be individually tailored for specific needs and interests of each person. Importance is given to the transferability of the improvements in skills by using homework assignments and by educating others involved in the treatment about what the teen is working on and how they can help.
